How do I convert a JPG, image or photo to PDF?
Choose your JPG files, or drop them on the box above. Drag the cards into the order you want, pick a page size such as A4 or Letter, and press Convert to PDF. Each photo becomes one page, centered and scaled to fit without stretching, and the PDF downloads straight from your browser.
- Press Choose images and pick one or more photos. Add more with + Add images.
- Drag the cards into order, or use the arrow buttons. Press the rotate button on any photo that needs turning.
- Pick the page size, orientation and margin. Same as image makes each page the shape of its photo.
- Optional: tick Keep the PDF under a file size and choose 100 KB, 200 KB, 500 KB or 1 MB.
- Press Convert to PDF, then Download.
Does converting JPG to PDF lower the quality?
No, unless you set a file size limit. The tool places your original JPG data in the PDF byte for byte, without compressing it again. In our build test, one 12 megapixel photo of 4.1 MB made a PDF of 4.1 MB: about 730 bytes of PDF structure per photo, and the same picture.
| Photos | Photos total | PDF size | Added by the PDF |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 4.1 MB | 4.1 MB | 1.1 KB |
| 3 | 12 MB | 12 MB | 2.1 KB |
PNG images keep their transparent areas. WebP, GIF, BMP and AVIF images are redrawn once at full size, because PDF cannot hold those formats directly.
How do I make the PDF under 100 KB, 200 KB or 1 MB?
Tick Keep the PDF under a file size and pick or type a limit, such as 150 KB. The tool first tries full quality. If the PDF is too big, it lowers the JPEG quality and then the image size, and stops at the first version that fits, so the photo stays as sharp as the limit allows.
| Upload limit | Longest side | JPEG quality | PDF size |
|---|---|---|---|
| 100 KB | 700 px | 38% | 78 KB |
| 200 KB | 1000 px | 50% | 189 KB |
| 500 KB | 1600 px | 60% | 452 KB |
| 1 MB | 2400 px | 75% | 1019 KB |
A 1000 pixel wide photo still reads clearly on a phone or laptop screen, which is why 200 KB is enough for an ID or document photo. With several photos in one PDF, each one has to be smaller, so very low limits suit one or two pages.
How do I convert a picture to PDF on iPhone or Android?
Open this page in Safari on iPhone or Chrome on Android, tap Choose images and pick pictures from your photo library or Files. Put them in order, tap Convert to PDF, then Download. No app is needed and the photos stay on your phone. If an iPhone photo is refused as HEIC, use HEIC to PDF.
iPhone photos saved as HEIC
iPhone cameras can save photos as HEIC instead of JPG. This tool recognizes a HEIC photo by what is inside the file, so one renamed to .jpg is still spotted, and it points you to HEIC to PDF. That tool puts iPhone photos into one PDF the same way: Safari reads HEIC itself, and other browsers load a HEIC decoder only when the first HEIC photo arrives. To get JPG copies you can use anywhere, use HEIC to JPG.
The built-in way on iPhone
Apple's Preview app for iPhone can save one picture as a PDF: open the image in Preview, tap the menu next to the file name, tap Export, choose PDF as the format, then pick a folder and tap Save. Apple lists the steps in Export or compress PDFs and images in Preview on iPhone. That gives one PDF per picture. To put several photos in one PDF, in your own order or under a file size limit, use the tool above.
On Android
In Chrome, Choose images opens your phone's picker, where you can pick from your photos or your files. The pictures are read by the browser on the phone. On a phone, about 120 MB of images at once is the safe limit, so convert very large sets in batches and join the PDFs with Merge PDF.
How do I combine several photos into one PDF?
Pick all the photos at once, or add more with + Add images. Drag the cards into order or press A→Z to sort them by file name, then press Convert to PDF. Each photo becomes its own page in one PDF file. To fit two or four photos on a single page, use Combine PDF Pages afterwards.
- Sorting by name counts numbers the way people do, so IMG_2.jpg comes before IMG_10.jpg.
- Different formats can go in the same PDF: JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP and AVIF pictures all become pages.
- File size: JPG photos go in unchanged, and each one adds only about 730 bytes of PDF structure in our test above. Tick the file size limit if the PDF must fit an upload form.
- Page shape: pick A4 or Letter for pages that print evenly, or Same as image to give each page the shape of its photo.
- Several photos per page: convert first, then use Combine PDF Pages into One for 2, 4, 6, 8, 9 or 16 on each sheet.
Which image types can I convert to PDF?
This image to PDF converter reads JPG, JPEG, JFIF, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP, AVIF and SVG files. You can mix them in one batch, and each image becomes one page in the order you set. iPhone HEIC photos are not read here; use HEIC to PDF for those.
How do I convert JPG to PDF without a converter, on Windows or Mac?
Both have built-in tools. On Windows, open the photo, press Ctrl+P and choose Microsoft Print to PDF as the printer. On a Mac, open the photo in Preview and choose File, then Export, with PDF as the format. These make one PDF per photo; this tool can put many photos in one PDF with a size limit.
Apple explains the Preview steps in Export PDFs and images in Preview on Mac.
Do I need Acrobat to convert JPG to PDF?
No. A JPG becomes a PDF by placing the image on a page, which any modern browser can do for free. This tool does exactly that on your device, with no account, no watermark and no limit on the number of photos.
Limits and fixes
- HEIC photos from iPhones are not read here. Use HEIC to PDF.
- Many large photos on a phone: about 120 MB of images at once is the safe limit. Convert in batches and merge the PDFs.
- Very low size limits with many photos can be impossible without making images tiny. The tool tells you when a limit cannot be reached and gives you the smallest version.
- CMYK JPEGs (common from print shops) are redrawn in screen colors so they do not come out with inverted or dull colors.
- Text in photos is not searchable in the PDF. A photo of a page is still a picture.
Frequently asked questions
How many images can I put in one PDF?
There is no fixed limit. The practical limit is your device memory: about 120 MB of images at once on a phone, much more on a laptop.
Can I put each photo on an A4 page?
Yes. Pick A4 as the page size. Each photo is centered and scaled to fit inside the margin, and landscape photos get a landscape page when orientation is set to Auto.
Will my photos be stretched?
No. Photos are scaled evenly to fit the page, so they keep their shape. Any space left over stays white.
Can I convert PNG and screenshots too?
Yes. PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP and AVIF images work in the same way. PNG transparency is kept.
Why is my photo sideways?
Normally it is not: the tool reads the rotation your camera saved. If one still looks wrong, press its rotate button before converting.
Does the PDF show where my photo was taken?
No. Phone photos often store GPS location and camera details. The tool removes them from each JPG before it goes into the PDF, and keeps only the image and its color profile.
Is there a watermark or sign-up?
No watermark, no sign-up and no daily limit.
